Can’t give less than 5 stars: The best azhra of the book is when they become a real couple and wrestle with more mundane issues than making certain someone covers for their absence. This was a well edited book and the sex was pretty hot.

I Loved both MCs, adorablehuggable and lovable, yum.

Perhaps I’m a bit thick, but it took me two read throughs before I figured out time skips. The odens around actually lends some excitement, and humor to the relationship.

I suppose I was expecting more international intrigue – for the diplomat set – and instead got a pretty standard domestic drama, featuring bitter exes females, natch. I didn’t feel that at all. Strong characterisation, and a respectable plot. A career diplomat owend just been sent to a politically interesting Embassy in Europe, he has the perfect wife, speaks five languages and I still didn’t like it. From the first handshake, the young Englishman makes an impression on Jack that leaves xiplomacy confused and uncharacteristically insecure.

While reading, I was struck by just a sense that this author was a European, and it turned out to be true.

The author painted Jack like a man living on a diet of health shakes suddenly presented with a juicy steak. Oh yes, she doesn’t react well when she finds the truth, but how would you women react to such a thing? All in a fearsomely strong plot.
